”This is Alpha Team” is the pilot episode of the first season of Alpha Betas, and the first episode overall, which also serves as the series premiere.
It premiered on March 13, 2021.
Synopsis[]
In Alpha Betas, video games are powering the world thanks to a massive, top-secret CIA program. The show follows an elite virtual strike force of four top gamer's as they drop into the virtual realms of video games to fix potentially world-ending issues. Known as the Alpha Team, these four willfully reckless and dangerously arrogant guys are the tip of a five-hundred billion dollar US Government spear sent to be heroes in high-octane pixelated worlds.
Plot[]
The episode starts off with ominous music as the screen turns from black to a boat steadily arriving at a beach, with gunfire and men running around, shooting each other all over the beach, the camera shifts back to the boat, showing a soldier vomiting and Alpha Team in uniforms and with guns, with Eddie looking at them and yelling "Alright!", the camera shoots back to the top of the buildings where Nazi soldiers are shooting mini-guns from down below.
During the mission, Tommy tries to sneak at the bunker, but the Nazi Commander has spot him. It look like it would be the end of Tommy, however, Eddie shows up with a flamethrower saying "What up you Nazi Bitch!" and burn him to death. After completed the mission the team start to surfer using the German corpse as surfboard.
Darryl is an auditor for the Defense Department. Sent by the newly elected President, Darryl’s task is simple: Figure out how 70% of the U.S. Defense budget is being spent on a top-secret program.

- The Omaha Beach invasion is reference in multiple media. However, since it a video game, it possible be based on Call of Duty or Medal of Honor.
- The box of Red Head Intervention reads "Xbone", a joke of Xbox.
Revelations and significant events[]
- Allison is revealed to be a twist villain.
- Bravo Team makes their first appearance as the main villains.
- Typically, Emily is the first Bravo Team member to make an appearance in plain sight, but whilst disguised as an NPC.
- On Tommy's phone, he is shown to be on a website called "CornHub", which is a reference to the infamous website "PornHub".
- "CornHub" was an April Fool's joke PornHub made in 2016, when the site changes temporary to corns things.
- Eddie is revealed to have a crush on Ruby.
- Darryl makes his first and only appearance in the episode, as later, he is shot and killed by Bravo Team.
- Allison is revealed to be married.
- Stephen is revealed to be a robot.
- Edgelord is shown to somewhat have a crush on Emily, even acting like an overprotective boyfriend towards her, despite them not dating.
- Edgelord's real name is Tanner.
Allusions[]
- In the beginning of the episode, the first line is "Alright", which is an obvious reference to VanossGaming's intro, as he starts his gaming videos off with "Alright".
Scrapped Ideas/Deleted Scenes[]
- There is a deleted scene where Tommy tries to rip out henchman arm by shove but Eddie ask what he was doing, then tells to slow down the train and threw away Tommy shovel. Tommy then ripped of the henchman arm by his own hands and tries to take the head on the boiler but the fire goes on the arm and make even more fire on which Tommy notice what he has done.
Mistakes/Continuity Error[]
- Mason is shown eating a sack of cheese puffs, however, on the next scene he is show eating on a jar and later is shown eating on the sack again.
